The March 2022 Ziegler CFO Hotline poll was devoted to the topic of Resident Monthly Fee increases. This has been an annual poll conducted by Ziegler for a number of years and is valuable to senior living organizations for budget planning.

Ziegler, in cooperation with NIC, is pleased to present the results of our latest Ziegler NIC Lender Survey. The purpose of this survey is to provide greater transparency to developers, owners, operators and other capital markets professionals investing in senior housing and skilled nursing communities. We will continue these meaningful surveys on a quarterly basis in order to provide key data points over time.

Ziegler announces the closing of The Redwoods’ Series 2022 Bonds. The Redwoods is a multi-level retirement community consisting of 148 unlicensed Independent Living units, 130 licensed Assisted Living units and a 58-licensed bed skilled nursing facility located in the City of Mill Valley, Marin County, CA. Rated "AA-" by S&P, proceeds of the bonds will be used to refinance existing debt.

As we enter March, we found the timing to be right to release our first-quarter “Recommending Reading” list. This quarter’s listing includes, among other topics, resources devoted to resident wellness, key trends in the sector, executive compensation, and the ever-important workforce priorities.

Ziegler is pleased to announce the successful closing of Capital Manor’s Series 2022 Bonds. Located in Salem, Oregon, Capital Manor consists of 302 independent living units and 83 residential care beds with an additional 34 memory care beds. Bond proceeds will primarily be used to refinance existing debt and fund an exterior recladding project and to renovate a portion of the resident commons area.

Ziegler is pleased to announce the successful closing of the Mt. San Antonio Gardens $43,780,000 Series 2022 tax-exempt fixed rate bonds. Incorporated in 1957 and located in Pomona and Claremont, California, MSAG will primarily use bond proceeds to fund the replacement of the original 1961 residential building to be known as The Cedars.

Ziegler is pleased to announce the successful pricing of Kendal at Lexington’s $18,910,000 Series 2022 forward delivery bonds. Located in Lexington, VA, the community consists of 150 independent living units, 19 assisted living units and 60 skilled nursing beds. Bond proceeds will primarily be used to refund the outstanding 2017A Bonds.
